Provide Background Details and Rationale:
The Aspiring Educators curriculum team proposes the use of Kids First from Day One: A Teacher’s Guide to Today’s Classroom by Christine Hertz and Kristine Mraz. This supplemental resource would replace the previously board-approved Leader in Me text.

The Aspiring Educators curriculum will use the text to help students learn how to create a classroom that is research-based, child-centered and in step with the world today.

This supplemental resource will be on review until February 28, 2019 when it is presented to the Board for approval. Notice of the review will be communicated via "First Hand' email, and posted on the district website informing patrons of the proposed adoption.
Provide Funding Source and Estimated Cost:
approximately $725 from the Professional Studies budget  
It will be recommended at the February 28, 2019 Board Meeting that the Park Hill Board of Education approve the Aspiring Educators supplemental resource, as presented.
