Provide Background Details and Rationale:
Since 2007 Park Hill School District has been able to participate in a governmental program through an equipment manufacturer for the use of a skid loader. The District was notified in early December 2018 that the program was to be discontinued at the end of 2018. The skid loader is an essential piece of equipment for the Operations Department.

A team from the department operated five different manufacturers to determine the most appropriate piece of equipment that would have the longevity desired. Other construction companies were also consulted for their unbiased opinion.

The manufacturer presented was by far the preferred choice.

The purchase will be made through the HGACBuy Purchasing Cooperative.

HGACBuy is a nationwide, government procurement service. Units of local government, including non-profits providing governmental services, are eligible to become participating members of the HGACBuy Cooperative. All contracts available to participating members of HGACBuy have been awarded by virtue of a public competitive procurement process compliant with state statutes.
Provide Funding Source and Estimated Cost:
Funding will be provided from the 2018-2019 Maintenance and Operations budget. The actual cost of the equipment is $66,169.00  
It is recommended that the Park Hill Board of Education approve the Purchase of a Skid Loader from Rex Spencer Equipment Company, as presented.
