Provide Background Details and Rationale: A bid was issued by the Park Hill Food Service Department to solicit pricing for five compartment food trays that are used in the elementary and secondary schools to serve our students.

The bid specification was based on product durability, aesthetics and bio-degradability. Bids were sent to multiple providers as well as advertised on the Park Hill website.

One responsive bid was received.
Kohl Wholesale provided the following bid:
Hutamaki 5 Compartment Trays
$18.45/case for a truckload, $.0769/tray
$18.79/case for a 1/2 truckload, $.0783/tray

Although there was only one bidder, the prices quoted are in line with historical costs for these trays.
Provide Funding Source and Estimated Cost: Food Service Budget, Estimated cost of $63,832.23 based on cost incurred during the 2020-2021 school year.
