The Park Hill School District competitively bids copy paper annually through a cooperative bid process with 20 other school districts in the greater Kansas City area. Bidding the paper cooperatively lowers prices for all of the participating school districts through the power of aggregation and volume discounts. The overall cost of paper in all participating districts exceeds $387,000.
Lauren Beisel, Park Hill School District Operations Purchasing and Inventory Specialist, leads this process for all school districts. This annual cooperative bid process has proven to be the most cost effective process, as bid prices through this cooperative are consistently lower than state and national cooperative bid prices for paper.
Paper Corporation has been identified by the cooperating school districts as having the lowest or best bid.
