|
The annual budget calendar and assumptions lay the foundation for the construction of the school district’s annual budget. Within the budget assumptions are prioritized variables for many factors that impact revenue and expenditures for upcoming school years, such as: future assessed valuation, tax levy, student enrollment, capital planning, special projects, academic programming, staffing, fund balances, debt, etc. The budget assumptions are dynamic and will change as more information is gathered throughout the budget process.
The Board of Education will begin the review of the preliminary budget in April and ultimately be presented a recommended budget for approval prior to June 30, 2023.
Drs. Kimbrel, Kelly, Briedwell, Dillon and Dial will present the budget timelines and preliminary budget assumptions guiding the development of the 2023-2024 budget.
