Provide Background Details and Rationale: Dr. Peter Liljedahl is the author of Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics, (Corwin 2020). The strategies presented by Dr. Liljedahl will help teachers engage students in deep thinking and problem solving. His work is research based and enhances collaboration, perseverance, risk taking and access to an equitable learning environment. Dr. Liljedahl will present to our Middle School and High School Math teachers. This agreement will be on review until October 9, 2025, when it is presented to the board for final approval. Notice of the review will be communicated via “Board Highlights” email and posted on the district website informing patrons of the proposed adoption. Agreement has been reviewed and approved by our General Counsel, Clay Fulghum.
